Float Tote is a small batch accessories company which began in the Spring of 2024. With a bareboat charter through the British Virgin Islands on the horizon, I wanted a tote that I could use when going ashore in the dinghy from the catamaran. It needed to be just large enough for the essentials, hands-free, waterproof and float. Floatation was crucial so if it accidentally fell in the water, it would be retrievable. I also wanted it to be stylish enough to go the resorts, restaurants, clubs and not have the typical, utilitarian look of a waterproof tote. So, I created the Dinghy Tote that is a slim, crossbody style. It proved to be better than expected and Float Tote was born.
Upon returning from the BVI's I began developing other styles, such as the Club and Cruiser Totes. All are tested with weights and times. Each tote is handcrafted along the shores of St. Andrews Bay in Panama City, Florida.
I am a mechanical engineer who also studied fashion design at Parsons in NYC. I have always lived on the water and enjoy fishing, sailing, diving and spending time at Shell Island in my hometown, Panama City, Florida, with my husband Chris and our two labradors.
